Assassin’s Creed 4 Gameplay Clips

Romping around the West Indies, I decided to take advantage of my new Xbox One’s Game DVR and record some clips as I progressed through the game. What we have here is a handful of sweet looking assassinations, a few beautiful sync cinematics, and an example of each of the hacking mini-games.

If you haven’t read them yet, I’ve got a few posts already discussing my progress through the game, along with some musings on where the next title will take place!

Assassin’s Creed 4: Post Campaign Predictions

Uncovering conspiracies is all about finding information that isn’t supposed to be seen. Making predictions is about taking what is known, analyzing it, and through some method, extrapolating that information into a possible, yet non-immediately verifiable, form. Both practices require a discriminating eye, one that can cast aside irrelevant data while focusing on key points, and being able to tell the difference between the two. For the truly exceptional conspiracies to be uncovered, one must be able to identify information points that on the surface appear to be irrelevant, but when taken in whole with other bits form a full picture. This, is how I hope to make my bold predictions for the location for the next Assassin’s Creed.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Story Mode Completed!

MAIN CAMPAIGN COMPLETED!!! Unfortunately, I do not believe I’ll be getting a full 100% Sync for the game, as I have no intention of winning the required amount of Reals at the bar games, nor do I have any interest in raising my blood pressure to cautionary levels due to the frustration from completing the optional memory objectives like “Stay Out Of Combat” or “Use this totally non-lethal item and inefficient tool 30 times”, nor am I going to hunt down all of the treasure map locations. I’ve done quite a bit already, and I’ve achieved a 92% sync, which isn’t too shabby. But enough about my laziness, ON TO THE REVIEW!

Possible Future Location of Assassin’s Creed hinted in Twitter Q and A?

As stated in my previous post, there was a particular piece of info recovered from a terminal at Abstergo during the course of your hacking escapades that I took particular interest in. This piece, in a form and style all too familiar to those who work in an office environment, is an email thread that got a little to personal and emphatic to the point where it had to be taken “offline” and focused on possible locations for future Assassin Creed games. Being the clue and conspiracy monger that I am, I had often wondered this myself.

Assassin’s Creed 4 – Impressions at 50% Syncronization

Back again with Ubisoft’s dip in to the Pirate’s life with an update on game progression and breakdown! As of this post, I am currently at ~50% Synchronization. So far, Assassin’ Creed 4 has been nothing short of amazing and I’m sure will continue to keep me entertained for many more hours, or at least until Watch_Dogs is finally released! But, giving just sweeping generalizations isn’t my style, so lets get in to it, shall we? I’ll keep the spoilers to a minimum.

First Impressions: Assassin’s Creed 4

Damn straight I’m taking over this vessel!

I’ve been able to spend (most of) the weekend with my shiny new Xbox One and my first launch title, Assassin’s Creed 4. In previous posts, I have expressed some concern over the direction that the series seem to be taking. Over the course of the series, it has steadily moved away from its stealth roots in favor of more open combat. Also, Assassins Creed 3 was felt incredibly siloed, to the point where it was one of the few games where I felt no need to go exploring further in to it’s deepest corners, but more on that later. In short, I’m enjoying AC4 much more than AC3. Yet at the same time, I’m still feeling a bit let down. Still, this is simply a “First Impressions” post, and since I’ve waited until I purchased an Xbox One, I’m more than sure that others have progressed farther than I have and already know the answers to some questions I’ll be posing further down!

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Trailer Response

***UPDATE – 5/19/13 – Ubisoft has released a new “Golden Age of Piracy” trailer. See our response HERE***

Oh what sweet period tale of stealth and existential conflict is THIS!?!?! A new Assassin’s Creed game, and this time it’s with PIRATES! Oh, this will be absolutely DELIGHTFUL!!!

But then…..why am I so apathetic to it’s news?

To fully understand where we are (and where I suspect we are going), lets first take a look at where we’ve been. Also note that this blog was written with the assumption that you have also played through the Assassin’s Creed (AC) series. This entry is going to be plenty long enough without the history and explanation of Desmond and Abstergo!
